What happened in episode 11 of Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction?
Produced by Production +h.; Directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa
Episode 11 of Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction brings back Nori Ikeda, the JSDF soldier from previous episodes who often shows hesitation when killing invaders. Nori tries to accept that it's none of his business to think about who's friend or who's enemy, but his sister calling him a murderer and his father's enthusiastic praise make that impossible. In the end, Nori realized that there wouldn't be much conflict with the invaders if they could communicate properly. But he also felt that the lack of communication made things easier because he wouldn't have to listen to their cries for help.
While this is happening, the invader Tsutomu learns that with more and more of their allies dying and the mothership slowly losing power, all the communes are planning a joint attack on the government's new stadium, which they believe is a weapon. Tsutomu protests, believing that non-violence is their only solution, but before long, A squad of Fujin #9, the government's newest anti-invasion robots, arrived at the commune and massacred nearly everyone there.. The massacre only made the invaders more reckless in their war against humanity, but Tsutomu did not answer whether he had changed his mind.
Later, while Kadode and Oran prepare for a beach trip with the occult research club, Futaba begins to question her involvement with SHIP as they become increasingly radicalized and begin to discuss resorting to violence. That idea is further emphasized when SHIP clashes with Kohiruimaki's group, now calling themselves the Youth United Front, and Kohiruimaki states that they will never get anywhere without action. Futaba still supports the idea of peaceful protest, but everyone has other plans, and The Destruction of the Dead Devil Episode #11 ends with Futaba being given a gun by the leader of SHIP..
Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction Episode 11 Lets the Supporting Cast Shine
Episode #11 of Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction is the first episode that doesn't focus much on Kadode and Oran, and it's still a good one despite that. With the focus on the main duo, the show is able to explore some of the less developed members of the cast, and between Futaba seeing her career slowly fall apart and becoming violent and surprisingly deep for a one-off character, The Destruction of the Dead Devil Episode #11 did a great job of showing the depth of the wider cast..
The best example of this comes from the growing exploration of the invaders. Witnessing another instance of them being brutally murdered is one thing, but thanks to the last chapter spending more time with them, The Destruction of the Dead Devil The anime finally emphasized that the invaders were no different from humans.with them being as susceptible to violence and blind patriotism as their oppressors. This makes the series' conflict much less straightforward than in previous volumes, and of course, that adds depth to the story.
