The source of Wuthering Waves gamer's anger
In the past few days, Kuro Games – the “father” of Wuthering Waves has suddenly been booed by the gaming community across all media platforms and large and small groups. It is known that the reason is because this publisher is overly biased towards female characters in Wuthering Waves.
It all started on the evening of September 12, when Kuro Games introduced Camellya's Banner. This is an extremely hot character, long awaited by the majority of Wuthering Waves gamers. However, right after that, this publisher introduced another female character that has never appeared in the plot, named Lumi. This means that Wuthering Waves will be preparing to have up to 4 new female characters, including The Shorekeepe and Youhu when entering version 1.4.
This move has caused the game to have a huge gender gap. Including Xiangli Yao, there are only 8 playable male characters in this game. Meanwhile, the number of female characters (including Lumi) has reached 18.
Wuthering Waves gaming community is extremely indignant
This has sparked a wave of anger among Wuthering Waves fans at the moment. On X, as well as the game’s official Facebook, it’s easy to come across a series of negative comments, demanding that Kuro Games release more male characters to restore “fairness” in the future.
In fact, the male/female character ratio of Wuthering Waves is quite high compared to other rival Gacha blockbusters. Of course, the decision on the character's gender depends on many factors that guide Kuro Games' development. However, with the famous “fan-pleasing” brand, this publisher certainly will not disappoint gamers in the upcoming major versions.
