Kodoani.com – Official website for the TV anime adaptation of the manga “A Girl & Her Guard Dog” (Ojō to Banken-kun) by Hatsuharu announced on Monday that Masayoshi Ōishi will perform the anime’s opening theme song “Suki ni Naccha Dame na Hito” (A Person You Shouldn’t Love). will be released on September 29th and CD release on November 1st. Ōishi will also appear as a guest in the pre-screening of the anime on September 3rd in Japan.
The anime “A Girl & Her Guard Dog” is scheduled to premiere on September 28 on channels TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS Asahi. The anime production team had originally announced that the film would premiere in October. The first two episodes of the anime will have a pre-screening in Japan on September 3 at the United Cinemas Toyosu theater in Tokyo.

The manga “A Girl & Her Guard Dog” has been digitally published by Kodansha USA publishers in English. The story in the manga revolves around Isaku, who from a young age had to live in the yakuza family after his parents passed away. Her normal life begins to change when Keiya, the family’s faithful servant and guardian, appears and vows to protect her in any way.
Hatsuharu launched the manga in Bessatsu Friend in December 2018. Kodansha published the manga’s eighth compiled book volume in Japan in October 2022. The manga has been on hiatus since March.
