Kodoani.com – Website of the anime adapted from the manga of the same name “Ragna Crimson” written by Daiki Kobayashi announced on Thursday that the anime series’ second tour will officially begin. Saji, the artist who serves as both the theme song and opening theme singer, has is confirmed to be released on January 13.
The second Cours of “Ragna Crimson” will premiere in Japan on January 13 on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels, starting at 25:00 JST (equivalent to 1:00 a.m. JST on January 14). The film will then air on MBS. Viewers in Japan will have a chance to preview it on January 13, at 24:00 JST (i.e. at 12 midnight on January 14 JST), on streaming services such as d Anime Store, U -NEXT and Anime Hōdai.
A special program titled “Zettai Kyōsha e no Michi” (The Path to Becoming the Absolute Strongest) will air on December 23 in Japan, featuring the anime’s cast and artists, as well as the singer singing the opening song for the second cours.
The first season premiered on September 30 on Tokyo MX, MBS and BS11, with the first episode lasting one hour.
The anime’s production director is Ken Takahashi, and the script will be written and supervised by Deco Akao. Shinpei Aoki is in charge of character design. The music was composed by Osamu Sasaki and Sus4 Inc. (Kōji Fujimoto).
Sentai Filmworks has purchased the broadcasting rights for this anime.
Square Enix Manga & Books is publishing an English version of the manga and describes the story as follows:
“Ragna Crimson” is about dragon hunters, warriors equipped with special silver weapons to hunt and kill dragons and earn bounties. Ragna, standing on the lowest floor, had formed a group with Leonica, a master dragon slayer with much reputation. However, Ragna’s dreams are destroyed by the attack of the most dangerous dragon imaginable…
Daiki Kobayashi launched the manga in Gangan Joker in March 2017. Square Enix’s announcement in April 2021 stated that the manga would reach a “final battle” and end with volume 11, published in August 2022 .
