Although not a Soulslike game, Black Myth: Wukong is clearly inspired by this genre with a large focus on boss battles, along with a character upgrade system, equipment with a variety of building directions and strengthening over time. This can be considered a fairly correct move from Game Science when in recent years, the Soulslike game wave has been rising with the birth of countless masterpieces such as Elden Ring, Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen, Remnant 2 and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
And right after the record-breaking success of Black Myth: Wukong, gamers are eagerly waiting for another game of the same genre.
It's called Enotria: The Last Song – a name that's not too new but has created a lot of attraction after the demo version was released earlier this year. The game will take players into a beautiful world inspired by Italian folklore. Enotria: The Last Song offers a system of three masks to change and each mask provides different weapons and equipment – at any time. This is what really makes Enotria different.
With over 30 masks to choose from, gamers will probably have quite a headache in choosing the direction to build their character as each mask comes with a different set of fully customizable equipment and this means gamers can change up to three characters at once during battles, creating something that no Soulslike game has ever had before.
On PlayStation 5 and the Epic Game Store, the game is set to launch on September 19. For Steam gamers, Enotria: The Last Song launched on September 16 after having to postpone its original June 21 release date to avoid the release of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. In retrospect, it was a perfect move. Hopefully, Enotria: The Last Song will be as successful as many other Soulslike games.
