Publisher Ubisoft has confirmed that they are postponing the release date of the upcoming Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

2022 is set to be the biggest year for James Cameron’s Avatar franchise to date. December 16 will see the premiere of Avatar: The Way of Water in theaters, and the film was originally scheduled to release ahead of the launch of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora from Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft. While Avatar: The Way of Water is still slated to premiere on December 16, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will no longer be released in 2022.
Ubisoft has released its first quarter report for 2022, confirming that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is currently out in 2023. Ubisoft did not give a detailed explanation as to why it made the decision to push back.
