Kodoani.com – In one of the more unusual crossovers of the year so far, the English version of the mobile game BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! added a Tokyo Revergers event on Wednesday. Although BanG Dream! there are a lot of girls that exude a “cool and active” energy, none of them are purely juvenile delinquents, nor do they settle disputes with fights.
So, what is a Tokyo Reverger crossover like in this game? Well, for one thing, it doesn’t really have to do with the Tokyo Revergers characters entering the world of BanG Dream. Instead, players have a chance to get an existing BanG Dream! the characters dress up as criminals and play songs from the anime Tokyo Revergers.
You can get three-star LOCK and MASKING members by playing through the event, which runs through March 7 at 6:59 a.m. UTC (1:59 a.m. EST). “REBELS’ NEW ERA Gacha” will allow you to choose 4 stars for LAYER, CHAIN and PAREO. The three girls belong to the band RAISE A SUILEN, known for their electro-rock sound and powerful vocals. They performed Bang! Dream version of the opening song “Cry Baby” by Tokyo Revengers and this is a particularly fitting cover. Afterglow (the main group that appeared in the Bang! Dream anime) covered the ending song “Tokyo Wonder.”, which also made a strong impression.
Other perks during the crossover phase include anime-related quest rewards, such as a Kid’s Meal with Flags (involving a cute scene in which Mikey gets excited about eating one) and a the outfit is based on the one Mikey wears in the scene. Maybe it only makes sense for BanG Dream! focus more on the lighthearted moments in that series than the dramatic ones.
The Japanese version of the game held an event this past May.
