Kodoani.com – Magazine Monthly Shonen Magazine of Kodansha revealed on Tuesday that the creator of the popular Beck series, Harold Sakuishiwill launch a new series titled THE BAND in the January 2025 issue, which celebrates the magazine's 50th anniversary on December 6.

THE BAND is the story of a new band, revolving around the musical journey of a young man who finds inspiration in life when he discovers a guitar. With Sakuishi's creativity and talent, the series promises to bring readers emotional musical experiences and pieces of life.
Previous Success
Before launching THE BAND, Sakuishi republished his Gorillaman manga under the title Gorillaman 40 in 2020, as part of Weekly Young magazine's 40th anniversary celebration. He then continued this story in the same magazine starting in March 2022 and ending in August 2022.
