Kodoani.com – Mokumokuren announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that the manga The Summer Hikaru Died will surpass the 3 million circulation milestone with the launch of the sixth volume on the day December 4. The author also revealed that the series is being planned to consist of a total of 10 episodes.

Manga The Summer Hikaru Died is about two boys living in a village, Yoshiki and Hikaru. They did everything together until one day, when Hikaru was surrounded by a mysterious light, and everything began to change. Hikaru becomes the one who has changed the most, while Yoshiki still longs to be by his best friend's side. But is there another Hikaru to be with?
Yen Press licensed this manga to be published in English. Manga launched on the site Young Ace Up by Kadokawa in August 2021, with the fifth volume released on June 4. The fourth volume was released by Yen Press on August 20. In particular, the manga inspired the Mio Nukaga adapted into a light novel in December 2023 and is in the process of being adapted into an anime.
