Kentarou Miura died on May 6, 2021 from acute aortic dissection when he was 54 years old. Following Miura’s departure, the Berserk manga went on hiatus, but later resumed in Young Animal in June 2022. The manga currently has the following credits: “Original work by Kentarou Miura, manga by Studio Gaga, supervised by Kouji Mori.”
Studio Gaga is Miura’s studio with his assistants and students, who also worked on Berserk with him. Kouji Mori is Miura’s childhood best friend, whom Miura frequently consults for details about Berserk’s plot.
