Blue Lock Chap 229 Spoiler & Raw
The Chap continued after Barou finished the match by scoring a goal in the previous Chap. Snuffy thinks this is the awakening of the boy who ignores his design. Then we see a backstory from the days when Snuffy and his friend, Mick, were best friends.
When Snuffy enters Mick’s room, he finds Mick lying on the floor, lifeless (dead). Then we see another side of Snuffy and Mick as they used to play together.
Mick tells Snuffy that they are the best and that he is a genius chosen by God. On the field, it looks like Mick and Snuffy have been teamed up by their coach.
Mick asks Snuffy what kind of person he is and tells the couch that he doesn’t need a medium-sized partner. Snuffy asked his trainer if it was true that he and Mick (considered the stupid-faced dwarf) were getting a new combo. Their coach scolds them for complaining and focusing on training.
Snuffy and Mick crash!
Then, in a match, they scored the first goal by working together. They did quite well as partners and they even won the final championship while working together.
However, their success has influenced them greatly, and they often spend more time enjoying themselves than practicing. And Mick became a heavy drinker.
After they fell apart, Snuffy went to Mick to discuss the matter with him. Snuffy told him that they were dropped from the main team because they didn’t perform well last season, so they deserve it.
Mick laughs and asks Snuffy if they should be serious. Snuffy told him that they couldn’t continue playing in their current team because they had lost confidence, so they should start over with a low ranked team. However, Mick disagrees with Snuffy. He told Snuffy that they were king and that he was only interested in the big clubs.
The end of dreams!
Snuffy convinces Mick to take himself seriously. He told Mick that football is a rapidly changing world. A nobody became a star overnight, and they became the complete opposite.
Mick seriously asks Snuffy what they should do with their dream of conquering five major tournaments since they have only had one so far.
Snuffy tells him they should give up on that dream now and think about it again when the time comes. Mick gets angry at Snuffy and tells him to go away if he can’t dream the same dream as his by calling him a jerk.
Mick tells him he won’t change his way of life and advises him that innovation always starts with a damn kid’s dream. Then there’s a scene in Chap where Mick dies on the ground. Snuffy hugged his lifeless friend while crying.

Uber celebrates Barou’s goal!
The story then shifts to the present moment, where we see Ubers celebrate Barou’s goal. Snuffy congratulated Barou on scoring. He tells Barou that this kind of goal is not his design and that it is the victory of his ego.
Barou tells Snuffy that he doesn’t need his praise. He asked Snuffy if he was going to win five tournaments, fulfill his deceased friend’s dream, and retire as a wise adult. So Baoru tells Snuffy to withdraw his retirement money because he is still not settled with him.
