Dragon Ball Daima released its first episode last Friday, October 11 and received a warm reception from the public who are fans of Akira Toriyama's work. The launch of the new anime series, after six years of absence from the world's small screens, marks the return of Goku.
In Dragon Ball Daima, Goku and the Z warriors face an emerging threat from the great demon world.
The three new villains are respectively King Gomah, Degesu and Arinsu (the last two brothers of the Supreme Kaiosama) from the great demon world, the place of origin of the great demon king Dabura, the magicians Babidi and Bibidi and even Even Piccolo. Daima also confirmed that the Namekians turned out to originate from this mysterious land.
In addition to introducing new villains, the success of the Dragon Ball Daima premiere episode also lies in the fact that it solves many of the problems and errors that Dragon Ball Super had.
First is the animation disaster. If we remember the first episode of Dragon Ball Super or the first part “Battle of Gods”, we will remember a Goku with a confusing face due to bad animation.
To solve this problem, Toei Animation brought back Yoshitaka Yashima, the animator associated with the series' most glorious history.
Failed arguments and lots of nostalgia in Dragon Ball
One of the things that no one understands in Dragon Ball Super is that Kibitoshin – the fusion of Kibito and Kaioshin was separated by the dragon ball's wish. But the Kaioshin are gods superior to the Divine Dragon, so it doesn't seem to make much sense.
Now, Dragon Ball Daima explains this much more logically. In a flashback what happened in the Majin Buu arc, when the villain absorbed Gogeta and expelled Goku and Vegeta. It turns out that thanks to Buu absorbing Kibitoshin, the gases in Buu's body helped them separate from the fusion of the Potara earrings.
One of the other great successes of the first episode of Dragon Ball Daima is that they started telling the story without rushing it. They took a space to summarize the history of the Z fighters, they introduced the villains, with all their things and personalities. Now, Daima will let the adventures unfold peacefully until the end.
