The Genshin Impact rumors recently released by leakers have revealed more information about the upcoming regions that will launch in the future.
A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about the new expansions that may appear in the coming months. Developer HoYoverse continues to unlock new parts of the map with updates. The previous version 3.4 introduced a new desert area to the west of Sumeru, right next to the desert map that debuted in version 3.1.

Currently, Sumeru is by far the largest area in the game, and it is rumored that the upcoming Genshin Impact 3.6 update will expand the desert even further. It is likely that Sumeru will be the largest area, more than the previous three combined by the time the current Magic God Quest ends.

The world of Teyvat consists of seven different main regions, four of which are now discoverable in the game. According to previous rumors, the game’s first region, Mondstadt, is still unexplored and its existing map portions only cover about 60% of the entire area. A new leak on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed more information about the upcoming expansions. According to the post, the next major update will introduce a new section of Mondstadt along with a new main area expected to be Fontaine. Many replies in the comments section suggested that Mondstadt needs a total overhaul as the area seems outdated compared to Sumeru and Inazuma.

Fans claim that every other area in the game has done a great job of showcasing its iconic element. It is likely that the new map part of Mondstadt will introduce the legendary character Varka, who is known as the Captain of the West Wind Knights. Although he is one of the most important characters in the region, Varka has yet to make an official appearance and the official storyline reveals that he is currently on an important expedition.
