Kodoani.com – Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine revealed in its January issue, published last Thursday, that Gleipnir author Sun Takeda will launch a new series titled “Guardian” in the May issue, scheduled for release in March.
Sun Takeda started Gleipnir in Young magazine on October 3, 2015 and then moved to Young Monthly magazine in May 2021 when Young magazine issue 3 ceased publication. The series ended on April 21, with the 14th and final volume published on July 20.
Kodansha USA published the 13th volume of Gleipnir in English on September 12.
Gleipnir inspired an anime television series that premiered in April 2020. Funimation streamed the anime when it debuted in Japan and also streamed the English dub. The anime series was released on Blu-ray disc in July 2021. Sun Takeda’s revival through “Guardian” promises to bring charm and uniqueness to manga fans.
