Good ending for Gojo. Spoilers for the latest chapter finally put the matter to rest, although the results have left fans and the internet in a tizzy.
While it seemed like the battle was decided in Chapter #235, the latest chapter subverts expectations and ends the war in the most unexpected way. Spoilers for Chapter #236 reveal that Gojo was thoroughly defeated by Sukuna and Mahoraga and has reunited with several beloved characters who passed away from the series in the afterlife. Fans have been showing their love right now on Twitter as Omar fans expressed it the most with their Tweet “Incredible ending for Satoru Gojo, the best wizard of all and a Among the best manga characters of recent years, jujutsu kaisen is a masterpiece.”
Jujutsu Kaisen kills Gojo in a heartbreaking twist
Chapter #236 is ready to break hearts with the touching reunion between Gojo and Geto. Spoilers reveal a tearful montage of Gojo imagining Geto among the other witches cheering him on before battle as he says he might have been more satisfied if Geto had also there, at that moment the latter just laughed and shed a discreet tear. This chapter will also see Gojo reunited with some of his other loved ones including Nanami, Principal Yaga, Lev Haibara, and even Riko Amanai.
As sad as the outcome may have been, Gojo fell with dignity after fighting hard and showed no remorse as he was said to have told Principal Yaga according to fan translation. If anything, Gojo reveals that he only feels sorry for not being able to make Sukuna devote himself to the battle. Regardless, Chapter #236 left fans in denial with many still holding out hope that Shoko could heal Gojo or that he could abandon the Six Eyes to use the Curse Reversal Technique and revive yourself. Sadly, given Gege Akutami’s famous dislike of Gojo, a return seems unlikely, especially after such a shutdown.
While the series may never be the same again, defeating Gojo is necessary as the plot cannot progress without him. Chapter #236 not only gave the other witches on standby a chance to join the fight, but also set the stage for the final showdown between Sukuna and Yuji, who was destined to finally face face with Sukuna from the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen.
