This year’s 45th issue of Weekly Young Jump revealed on Thursday that Aka Akasaka’s manga is Kaguya-sama: Love is War is entering its final arc. The manga will also take a hiatus in the magazine’s next issue, and it will return in issue 47 on October 21.
The manga went on hiatus in May so Akasaka could write and create a new action part of the manga.

Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses at the top of the prestigious student council, making them both the elite among the elite. But both were lonely at the top and each fell in love with the other. There is only one big problem standing in the way of happy love – both are too proud to be the first to confess their romantic feelings and thus become “losers” in the love competition. love! And so begins their daily plan to force the other to confess first!
Akasaka started the manga series in Shueisha, Miracle Jump magazine’s May 2015 issue, but the manga moved to Young Jump magazine in March 2016. Shueisha published the manga’s 22 volumes in May 19. Viz Media published the compiled volumes. 19 in April. The manga also got two spinoff manga adaptations.
The manga inspired a television anime that premiered in January 2019 and aired for 12 episodes. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow. The company also released the anime on Blu-ray in February.
Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai – Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunōsen, the second season of the television anime, premiered in April 2020. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Funimation was also voiced for both seasons of the anime. The anime also has an original anime video project (OVA) that was released with the manga’s 22nd volume on May 19. The anime will get a third season.
The manga also inspired a live-action film that premiered in Japan in May 2019. A film sequel will open on the 20th.
