Kodoani.co – Anime Blue Box, adapted from the manga of the same name by Kōji Miura, was published in the 51st issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The cast for this anime includes Shōya Chiba (as Taiki Inomata) and Reina Ueda (as Chinatsu Kano).
Additionally, the anime will also hold a stage event at Jump Festa ’24 on December 16, featuring the main cast.
MANGA Plus, Shueisha’s manga publishing service in English, has announced an English version of Blue Box.
The anime depicts the story revolving around Taiki Inomata, a member of the boys’ badminton team at Eimei Junior and Senior High. Taiki requests the help of Chinatsu Kano, a basketball player, to practice with him every morning. Their relationship begins to change in a big way one spring day.
Blue Box manga was first published by Kōji Miura as a one-shot in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020 before officially starting regular serialization from April 2021. The manga’s 13th volume will be distributed by Shueisha released on December 4. Viz Media is also publishing an English version of the manga.
