If League of Legends gamers miss logging in to “receive free gifts” at this scam site, after only a few minutes, the account will “discolor” and all information will be changed.
A week ago, there were many League of Legends gamers complaining because they discovered many hacking tools that blatantly advertised on YouTube. Until today, there is a scam in Vietnam that hires ads on Facebook to “distribute free gifts”.
A scam site that hires ads on Facebook.
More specifically, the website fakes the official fanpage of Vietnam League of Legends and also shares the “Gamer Gratitude Event” with a free gift of a newly launched skin series such as Lucian Sniper Knight, Camille Female General Pul Jack, Janna Goddess of Glory,…
Basically, the scam of this site is to ask players to enter their accounts in order to receive free gifts. However, because the links are all fake, gullible gamers will lose their accounts in an instant if they follow.
In the past, Garena’s official mobile app also had a Wheel of Fortune that allowed players to receive rewards such as eye and skin models (7 days), champion shards, Blue Essence, etc. Recently there was another scam website for players to “spin for free” with many “terrible” gifts such as Garena Scallops, LoL skins, Hextech Chests, etc.
“Can anyone help me confirm it” – gamers are trying to find out if the free gift they received is real or fake.
As a result, a gamer shared that he had drawn 20 sets of Masterpiece Chests from… a scam website. Until the post was spread in the League of Legends community, this player was still dumbfounded… waiting for the gift to be sent to his account.
Below that post, many gamers dropped “Haha” and left comments teasing the guy who “didn’t do it but demanded a skin”. On the other hand, there are also many kind gamers who advise him to change his password immediately before it’s too late.
Through these cases, it can be seen that the fraud situation in League of Legends is still rampant everywhere, the publisher has not found an appropriate solution to solve this problem. So the League of Legends community must be alert to attractive events from fraudulent websites, to avoid losing accounts unfortunately.
