In the cold days of the end of the year, when we were still gathering with our families to welcome the new year of 2023, the MDH Esports players had “wrapped up” to Jakarta (Indonesia), ready to compete in the biggest tournament in the world. of MLBB: M4 World Championship.
Overcoming teams from Laos and Thailand in the Mekong Qualifiers, MDH Esports became the only representative of the region to advance to the M4 World Championship, which took place in Jakarta (Indonesia) in January 2023. This is the second time Vietnam has had the opportunity to participate in the world championship of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), since the M1 World Championship (2019).

MDH Esports was established in 2022, with the core of athletes from Cyber EXE – Vietnam’s representative competing at SEA Games 31. Before “departing” in the international arena, MDH Esports has been tempered through. Many professional tournaments at home and abroad and achieved remarkable achievements such as winning MPS season 1 (2021), winning MPS Star Invitational Summer 2022, Top 5 IESF World Esports Championship 2022. With a wealth of experience and skills With outstanding ability, it can be said that the MLBB MDH Esports team has the opportunity to advance deep into this world finals.
Right before the M4 World Championship, we had a quick interview with GNART player – MDH Esports captain about the team’s preparation process in the last days of the year.
Just returned from IESF WEC 2022 and is about to go to the M4 World Championship, how is MDH Esports feeling?
We are very excited and excited to be back in Indonesia in such a short time. The team is now fully assembled in Jakarta, Indonesia. Although we have also faced many international teams, we are still as nervous as the first time, because M4 is the biggest tournament of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. But we are also quite confident that we can go deeper in this tournament.

What did you guys prepare for the M4 World Championship?
We have prepared quite well for this tournament, both mentally and in practice. Since winning the ISEF WEC, we still practice 5-6 hours a day. In the previous stage, it was only online practice, because two members of the team went to Indonesia first. But now we are fully assembled in Jakarta and ready to practice together.
ISEF WEC was an opportunity for us to get used to playing on stage, help our friends gain confidence and improve communication during competition. Currently, MDH Esports members are in very good spirits and ready for the first day of the new year.
We also… bought Vietnamese shrimp noodles to bring over, because food in Indonesia is quite difficult to eat.
How do you rate the teams in the same Group B (including Onic Esports – Indonesia, Todak – Malaysia, Malvinas Gaming – Peru)?
The teams in our group are all very strong, especially Onic Esports. In my opinion, Onic Esports can win this tournament. Because Onic Esports is currently Top 1 in Indonesia, also the country with the strongest MLBB community in the world today.
Vietnam is in Group B – the same group as the team that is considered the “seed” of the M4.
According to the schedule, the first opponent of MDH Esports is Malvinas Gaming from Peru, which is considered a pretty strong team. What coping strategies did you guys have?
We did a bit of research on the opponent. Malvinas Gaming is a pretty tricky team, but from my observations, your team plays quite sporadically, so we can exploit the openings to attack. We are quite confident in this opening match.
What are your goals for the M4 World Championship?
Although Vietnam is not a strong team in the international arena, we have faith that we will go quite deep in this tournament. Since we have a very high competitive spirit right now, I think that’s the most important factor.
We will try to get the best results and then return to Vietnam to celebrate Tet!
