Before MSI 2023, experts evaluate and rank the players in each position, choosing the best position is not easy, especially for mid and AD.

Bin leads in top lane and he is also the defending champion of MSI 2022
The best top laner belongs to BLG’s Bin – a rather surprising result as other top 4 names like Zeus, 369 and Doran have all been in pretty good shape lately. Especially, Doran with his performance at the last LCK Spring 2023 Grand Finals has made great progress when he outperformed Zeus in all 4 games.
However, Bin is the defending champion of MSI 2022 when last year he competed in the RNG shirt and won the championship. Bin was one of the key factors that helped RNG achieve that achievement even though he only played “temporarily” for RNG half a season before returning to BLG.

The Oner surpassed both Kanavi and Peanut in the battle in the forest
After many seasons as a “black sheep” in T1, Oner has improved a lot and proved his influence in T1’s tactics with a series of POG. It is this progress that has helped Oner overcome Kanavi – LPL Champion and Peanut – LCK Champion to become the best jungler to watch MSI 2022.
Although not a prominent and shining jungler, Oner controls resources and maps to support his teammates very well. This position of Oner is also controversial as he does not always win in Punishment disputes.

Chovy overcame the big boys to become the best mid laner
Chovy – Champion of the LCK Spring 2023 is the most desirable mid laner at MSI 2023. Interestingly, compared to the other 3 in the top 4, Chovy is a “strike” behind in both career and age. That proves Chovy’s strength is not the right kind.
Since the defeat at Worlds 2022, Chovy has made many changes in the way he plays. If before, Chovy was mocked as “Mr Vinh clearing the rice” when he worked hard to farm and plow money to shine on his own, now, Chovy gives up his aura to his teammates and is ready to support. That is one of the important things contributing to GEN’s victory in the LCK Spring 2023.

Even after going to the LPL to tour, Ruler is still in top form
Ruler did not show any deviation when switching from LCK to competitive LPL, even in LPL Ruler shined much more than when he was in the GEN lineup. However, the surprising thing is still behind when the 2nd and 3rd places are for two young ADCs of the LCK and LPL, Peyz and Elk. Meanwhile, Gumayusi is at 4th place in the ADC rankings.
Ruler is not an ADC that needs too many resources or shines strong, Ruler’s form has been smoldering throughout many years of competition. Coming to JDG, Ruler has more opportunities to shine when this team identifies the bottom lane as the spearhead that needs to be refined and Ruler’s ADC position has a particularly important role in the squad.

Other positions still have to be compared, but support is unique
Without BeryL’s appearance, in all support comparisons, Keria retains the unique position of the most watched support. The rest of the supports in this ranking have many shortcomings compared to a support with a large champion pool, good tactical mobility like Keria.
In the LCK or in the world, not many support players can compare to Keria. Even a support like Keria is also the player with the highest POG score in the LCK Spring 2023. From that, it can be seen how much influence Keria has on T1’s gameplay.
