Episode 6 “My Happy Marriage” takes us on an emotional and dramatic roller coaster ride. Miyo wakes up in an unexpected terrible situation in the first episode, to find herself hanged in an old closet at her father’s house, this is the disturbing opening image of the show.
Miyo is harshly teased by Kaya, who reveals her cunning plot to reject Kudo’s marriage proposal and let Miyo stay with Koji. Kaya even disparaged Miyo’s ability to be a match for Kudo by mutilating her elaborate kimono. Despite her humiliation, Miyo resolutely rejected Kaya’s harsh marriage proposal for the first time.
Meanwhile, Koji and Kudo attempt to enter Saimoris but are greeted by a locked door. She is steadfast in her commitment to Kudo. Despite the efforts of Kudo and Miyo’s father to prevent Kudo from using thunder magic, Kudo’s incredible strength prevailed, allowing them to reach the location where Miyo was being held.
Koji’s father’s fire magic once again thwarted them, but Kudo skillfully controlled the flames, causing confusion and allowing them to find Miyo. Kudo lovingly holds Miyo in his arms, expressing his care and affection for her.
Kudo confronts Kaya and demands an explanation for her actions; however, she firmly declares that she belongs to him. Without thinking twice, Kudo decided to choose Miyo and rejected her approach while hugging her tenderly. The focus of the story then returns to the emperor, who is identified as the brainchild behind these sad events.
As his nefarious goals become clearer, he pursues Miyo and her distinctive Usuba ancestor, foreshadowing even worse conditions. Miyo felt relieved and comfortable when she woke up in Kudo’s house. Yurie apologizes for not protecting Miyo, although Kudo is pleased with Miyo’s growth.
As “My Happy Marriage” reaches its climax, Miyo enjoys peace in her newly acquired paradise. The interesting twists and turns of episode 6 emphasize the character’s resilience in the face of difficulties and the unshakable bond of love.
