Natsume's Book of Friends Season 7 Episode 4 Summary
Natsume's Book Of Friends Season 7 Episode 4, titled 'Depths of the Page', begins when Natsume and his friend Kitamoto visit a used bookstore that Kitamoto remembers from his childhood. Kitamoto wanted to surprise his father with a book from that bookstore.
However, Natsume senses the yokai's presence and suggests they leave. He and Nyanko-sensei then follow Kitamoto, who is rejected by Kaeda, a yokai who lives in the store and guards the sleeping old owner.
Kaeda reveals that a dangerous yokai named Dei has escaped its seal, leaving cursed spells hidden in the books. Natsume himself suffered a mild tongue curse in Na tsume's Book Of Friends Season 7 Episode 4, while Kitamoto's wrists and shoulders were affected, draining his energy.
With Kaeda's guidance, Natsume eventually captures Dei, allowing Kaeda to seal him back, although the power spike leaves Natsume exhausted. The next day, Kaeda shares her plans to return to her book to recover, and Natsume gently bids her goodbye as she leaves, appreciating her silent kindness.
