One Piece Chapter 1103 content revealed
According to the spoiler released on Reddit, the new Chapter will be titled I’m Sorry, Dad.
In previous Chapters, we witnessed Kuma’s ultimate sacrifice for Bonney and discovered the reason why he lost his memories. However, the flashback is now over and in this Chapter we are back in the present timeline with the Egghead War.
Before the Kuma flashback begins, it becomes clear that Bonney finds himself trapped in a life-or-death situation. Saturn transformed into his Devil Fruit state, crushing her in his arms, restraining the other Straw Hats, while Luffy remained unconscious after his battle with Kizaru. Meaning Kuma is the only one (well, robot) who can swoop in and save her.
This Chapter will start where the last Chapter ended. Bonney returned to her child form and apologized to Vegapunk, who gave her a sun necklace made of sapphire as a 10th birthday gift from Kuma.
Then, return to the present, where Bonney is engaged in a mortal battle with Saturn. In this Chapter, Bonney uses his Nika-like Future attack against Saturn, which is one of the strongest attacks in One Piece. However, in this Chapter, her attacks have no effect and she falls into a weakened state.
Because of this, Saturn realized that Bonney’s understanding of Nika was different from his true power. Meaning she can only copy the rubber part of his power.
While Saturn and Bonney were fighting, the remaining Straw Hat pirates remained unable to move due to Saturn’s Devil Fruit power. And they watched the scene unfold, helpless.
All except Luffy. We see him trying to regain his strength by eating food that someone secretly gave him. But his efforts were in vain because Saturn noticed and ordered Luffy to be tied with sea stones.
The true nature of Bonney’s devil fruit powers
It was later revealed that Bonney’s Toshi Toshi no Mi power was given to her by Saturn. In the past, Saturn conducted experiments on humans to give them Devil Fruit powers through medicinal extracts, meaning they didn’t actually need to eat the Devil Fruit.
Saturn gave this medicine to Jewelry Bonney’s mother, Ginny, but she unfortunately contracted Sapphire scab as a side effect. However, he did not realize that her Devil Fruit powers and Sapphire scales would be passed on to her daughter Bonney.
Here, we also discover the true nature of Bonney’s Devil Fruit powers. She can transform into any future version of herself she imagines (proving fan theories about the power of imagination). However, the more knowledge she gains about her future self, the more limited her powers become. This is why, as Bonney struggled in a state of despair and began to doubt what she knew about Nika, her Nika form became too weak to fight against Saturn.
By the end of the Chap, Saturn is ready to kill Bonney while she apologizes to her father (Kuma) because he sacrificed his life to save her.
But hope is not lost. In an epic finale, Kuma arrives at Egghead Island and destroys the Marines surrounding the group. He grabbed Bonney with his hands and shielded her with his body from Saturn’s attack, as an epic battle ensued.
This chapter ends with Kuma’s angry face as he prepares to punch Saturn. But just before his fist makes contact, the final panel reveals Saturn’s terrified face.
Fans will be disappointed to hear that we’re taking another two weeks off, so they’ll have to wait and see what happens to Saturn when Kuma’s fury is unleashed.
