The latest chapter of *One Piece*, chapter 1,121, is titled “The Wave of the Era,” and is 17 pages long, including two color pages from Color Spread and 15 black and white pages. The title refers to a famous line Roger said in chapter 100.
The Color Spread cover features a giant Nami taking up the entire illustration, surrounded by smaller members of the Straw Hat crew enjoying summery treats like ice cream, parfaits, watermelon, pineapple, and grapes.
The chapter opens with Saturn attacking Bonney and Kuma with his poisonous feet, while the giants create a shield to defend against him. Watching the battle, Luffy sees Bonney, now in her “Nika” form, struggling to stand up despite being exhausted. He deflects one of Saturn’s attacks from Bonney but insists that she face Saturn herself.
Luffy and Bonney's epic combo attack destroys Saturn in the latest chapter
Bonney, fueled by determination and anger, stands up and prepares to fight. The scene then cuts to Vegapunk, who concludes his message by warning that a repeat of the “Void Century” is inevitable as the weapon responsible for the past disasters still exists. As Vegapunk speaks, we see Vivi and Shirahoshi react. In Skypiea, Conis and Aisa arrive at the palace to meet with Wiper’s group, unaware of Vegapunk’s broadcast.
Vegapunk insists that the heirs of races that were supposedly erased from history still survive. During his speech, we see Kuma on an Elbaf ship and flashback to his conversation with Vegapunk about the Buccaneers.
Marco ponders Whitebeard's tales of the “land of the gods” on the Red Line. King, bandaged and in a dark room, ponders about the Lunarians, while Pudding, imprisoned, recalls her childhood and the bullying she faced for having three eyes.
Back on the Elbaf, Saturn continues to attack Bonney, but Luffy intervenes to block all of his attacks. Bonney recalls the first time she encountered Saturn in God Valley, along with Ginny, and recalls Saturn's admission of experimenting on her mother.
“How dare you do this to my parents? There's no way you're 'gods'! But gods still exist!” Bonney exclaimed as she and Luffy prepared a combined attack against Saturn. Vegapunk's message continued, urging people to take care of themselves in the event of a disaster and expressing his faith in the wisdom of humanity and science.
This chapter shows the reactions from Iceburg, Judge, and Caesar, who are arguing, as well as Haredas. Emeth is still facing Ju Peter and Warcury on the shores of Egghead. In a dramatic double battle, Luffy and Bonney perform their combined attack. Bonney lands a giant punch to Saturn's face, while Luffy, in his giant form, attacks the rest of Saturn's body.
Saturn was blown to pieces with holes punched in and several limbs torn off before falling into the sea. The giants cheered for Bonney and Luffy, and even Kuma seemed to smile slightly.
