One Piece is celebrating the release of manga Volume 108 with an official (and hilarious) anime promotional video from absurdist animator Onkun Suko.
Coinciding with the release of One Piece Volume 108, an official promotional video parodying the long-running Shonen Jump series was revealed.
One Piece’s official YouTube account has released a surreal animated promo for the latest Japanese release. Animated by Onkun Suko, the One Piece Episode 108 promotional video spoofs the most iconic moments in the series’ rich history. The fast-paced animation satirizes the first anime’s opening theme, Zoro vs. Mihawk, Monkey D. Luffy’s Gear transformation, Franky’s robot appearance, and many other poignant moments for longtime fans of the series.

GUNDAM Live-Action Movie Producer Looks to “Hollywood’s One Piece Success” for Inspiration
Bandai Namco Filmworks producer Naohiro Ogata cites the success of Netflix’s One Piece as inspiration for the upcoming live-action film Gundunda.
Suko is an artist and animation director known for his charmingly quirky art style and humor, reminiscent of the likes of Pop Team Epic. They are also known for their viral animated videos such as Went to the Stray Kids Concert! and the music video “Po” by Hololive Vtuber Omaru Polka. Their most recent hit was the viral anime music video “Cotton Candy Ei-Ei-Oh!” by Aqours idol Ruby Kurosawa from Love Live! Sunlight!! with nearly nine million views and 170,000 likes on YouTube. At the end of the One Piece Episode 108 video, Suko’s mascot character Opanchu Usagi is seen partying with the Straw Hats.
The hype for the One Piece Anime and Manga is increasing as the story reaches its final arc
The grand celebration at the end of the One Piece promotional video is fitting, as Luffy’s dream – besides becoming Pirate King – is to throw the biggest party the world has ever seen; a fitting dream for someone now nicknamed “Joy Boy.” Depending on any last-minute twists, the Straw Hats will have another celebration, as the “Egghead” arc will end in 2024. However, Toei Animation’s anime adaptation is just getting started. Episode 1093 recreated the highly anticipated battle between Blackbeard and Trafalgar D. Water Law, as well as the impressive introduction of female Law.
