This December, the LA Rams and One Piece will host a special collaborative soccer event at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
According to SoraNews24, the Los Angeles Rams and One Piece Collaboration Day will mark the first time the famous team has integrated the Japanese franchise into one of its games. On December 3, the Rams will face the Cleveland Browns, while One Piece main characters appear on digital signs around the stadium. One Piece posters will also be posted outside the venue. As a playful nod to the series’ bounty system, the staff at SoFi will select random audience members to appear on 30,000,000 berry wanted posters on giant screens around the stadium dynamic.
Those attending the game will receive some exclusive freebies to commemorate the occasion. Each audience member is guaranteed to take home an LA Rams x One Piece towel. Additionally, the first 10,000 spectators to arrive will receive a special tote bag featuring images from One Piece’s newest mobile game, Bounty Rush, along with the official One Piece card game. As an added bonus, SoFi Stadium will treat fans to an exclusive video showcasing the unique and expansive world of One Piece, which will be shown on the venue’s 70,000 square foot Infinity Screen .
One Piece’s Collaboration Day caps off a year filled with many important developments and milestones for the beloved brand. Earlier this year, the first live-action adaptation of One Piece debuted on Netflix to huge success, quickly becoming one of the most-watched original series on the streaming service in Summer 2023. One Piece showrunners have confirmed production on Season 2 and are currently looking at potential new films. additional cast members, including Academy Award winner Jamie Lee Curtis, who is expected to lobby for the role of Dr. Kureha.
Meanwhile, Toei Animation’s long-running anime adaptation recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, coinciding with the completion of the “Wano Country” arc. This storyline is perhaps best known for the reveal of Luffy’s legendary Gear 5 form. To celebrate the anime’s success, Toei released a brand new logo highlighting Luffy’s childhood encounter with Red-Haired Shanks, the pirate captain who gave Luffy his iconic straw hat. 2023 will also mark the first time Luffy joins the lineup at the Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Toei recently introduced Luffy’s balloon, which features a super-deformed version of the beloved character as he prepares to launch an attack.
