Manga about poor otaku guy and frugal gyaru coming out in August 2021
Kodoani.com – The August issue of Kadokawa’s Shōnen Ace magazine revealed on Monday that the manga Otaku ni Otoku na Gyaru Gurashi Haruto Hino’s (An Otaku and a Thrifty Gyaru’s Life Together) will end in the magazine’s next issue on July 26.
The manga focuses on Yutaka Kongōji, the son of a wealthy family. The guy receives a substantial allowance that he almost exclusively uses to buy goods for his favorite idol. But the otaku guy’s life takes a turn for the worse when his family business goes down, and he’s forced to move into a rundown apartment. That’s when he gets to know Rino Hinata, a popular but notorious thrifty girl in the guy’s school, who proposes that they live together to save money.
Hino launched the manga in Shōnen Ace magazine in August 2021. Kadokawa published the manga’s second compiled book volume in November 2022.
