It's a notable shift after Pokémon TV, the free-to-play platform launched in 2010 to stream content from the Pokémon franchise, officially shut down on April 1, 2010. March 28, 2024. During its operation, Pokémon TV has provided a convenient experience for fans when available on many platforms such as web browsers, mobile applications, Prime Video, Roku, and even Nintendo eShop.
For now, fans can continue to watch Pokémon anime seasons on many other streaming services such as Netflix, Prime Video, Huluand YouTube.
In particular, Netflix announced that it will broadcast the second season of the anime Pokémon Horizons: The Series on April 1 February 7, 2025 titled Pokémon Horizons: The Series — The Search for Laqua. It's a continuation of a busy 2024 for the anime as the first season debuted in the United States in March, and sequels were released back-to-back in May, August, and November.
