Kodoani.com – Bandai Namco America announced on Monday in a new trailer that the demo for the action role-playing game based on the manga series “Sand Land” by Akira Toriyama is now available to play.
Players participating in the demo session will receive 30 B-class steel bars and 30 B-class bolts to enhance their vehicles in the final match.
The game is expected to launch on April 26 (April 25 in Japan) for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
Bandai Namco Entertainment describes the game as follows:
Immerse yourself in a desert world where both humans and demons face severe water shortages. Players will take on the role and follow the adventures of Demon Prince Beelzebub, Sheriff Rao, and the demon thief as they set out to search for the legendary Spring hidden in the desert. Beelzebub, a self-proclaimed “super devil”, possesses extraordinary strength but a heart as pure as a child’s. Rao, a sheriff from a small town, must seek the help of demons to save the entire Sand Land from water shortage. Thief, a wise demon, accompanies Beelzebub and Rao on their adventure.
Players will take on the role of Beelzebub, exploring a vast world with his party, meeting dangers and helpful characters along the way. Vehicle and character combat is an important part of the game’s action. Players will have access to a variety of vehicles that they can customize and accessorize to overcome obstacles and take on a variety of powerful enemies.
The “Sand Land” manga is a short story series that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from May to August 2000. Shueisha published a compilation volume of the manga in November 2000.
The manga already has an anime adaptation that debuted in Japan in August 2023. The manga will also be adapted into an anime series on Disney+ and Hulu on March 20.
