Kodoani.com – An event to launch a blockbuster adult anime adapted from yuri manga Gushing Over Magical Girls (original title: Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete) by author Akihiro Ononaka announced on Saturday that production on a second season has officially been greenlit. This is good news for fans as this anime series continues its journey after its initial success.
Fascinating Storyline
J-Novel Club licensed the manga and describes the plot as follows:
“Hello, I'm Hiiragi Utena. I'm a normal high school girl who loves magical girls—or at least I used to, but then a talking mascot suddenly appeared and cast a spell on me! Now is my chance to join my beloved magical girls as… a villain? Wait, there's something wrong with my outfit! This cannot happen!”
The story follows Utena, a shy girl who transforms into a brutal dominatrix. When good and evil collide, who will be the one to overcome?!

The broadcast version censors audio and images, while the “gushing” version only censors audio and some images, and the “super gushing” version is completely uncensored.

Manga's Journey
Ononaka launched the ongoing manga in 2019 in Takeshobo's Manga Life Storia magazine. After the magazine ceased publication, the series moved to the Storia Dash website. However, the series took a break in March due to Ononaka's unspecified illness, leaving fans worried about the story's continuation.
