Anime Mecha aired as Toonami’s first original series in 2003, 2005
Kodoani.com – Adult Swim’s Toonami channel has made an exciting announcement: they will be re-broadcasting the anime “Immortal Grand Prix (IGPX)” in the new broadcast time slot. The journey will begin with the airing of episodes 1 and 2 at 2 a.m. EST on November 5. After that, the series will continue to air every Sunday. Sunday at 2:30 a.m. EST in the following weeks.
The special thing is that “Toonami” once broadcast “IGPX” when this series first debuted in 2003 and then in 2005. This is a joint product between IG Production and Cartoon Network. Previously, in early 2023, Discotek announced the release of both versions of “IGPX” – the Production IG version and the Toonami version – on Blu-ray disc. This includes a new upgraded version based on the advanced anamorphic format.
Along with “IGPX,” Toonami has also revealed multiple future broadcasts, including “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc” on November 12 at 12:00 a.m. EST, and a third season by “Dr. Stone” on November 12 at 1:00 a.m. EST. This will be a great opportunity for loyal Toonami fans to enjoy amazing series on their channel.
