Crunchyroll streams an adaptation of the reverse isekai fantasy starting January 10
Kodoani.com – Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!an upcoming reverse isekai anime television series, has delighted fans by unveiling its latest key artwork—”Cherry Blossom Version.” The new image depicts Miss Elf and her friends enjoying the spring air on a bridge in front of a traditional Japanese castle, amid a dazzling backdrop of blooming cherry blossom trees. This is a gentle but meaningful change compared to the previous “Autumn Edition” image.
Air date and production details
The anime series will officially premiere on the day January 10, 2025 in Tokyo Broadcasting System's Animeism programming block. Crunchyroll will also air the series as a concurrent stream, making it part of its winter 2025 anime lineup.
Directed by Toru Kitahata at studio ZERO-G, with Aya Yoshinaga in charge of composition and Madoka Hiyama responsible for character design as well as main animation director, the anime promises to bring a great visual experience .
Origin and content
Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is adapted from the light novel series of the same name written by Makishima Suzuki and illustrated by Yappen. The series was originally published by Hobby Japan under the HJ Novels imprint. J-Novel Club is currently releasing the light novel in English along with the manga adaptation, with illustrations by Shimo Aono.
Crunchyroll has provided the following synopsis: Kazuhiro Kitase, a working adult, has a special hobby of… sleeping. In his dreams, he often ventures into another world, where he meets strange people, including an elf girl with whom he is very close. While exploring ancient ruins, he was unfortunately injured by the breath of a magical dragon.
However, when he woke up, he was surprised to discover that the Elf he had only seen in his dreams was sleeping next to him, right in his room in Japan!
