From June 10 to 16, One Piece fans will have the chance to witness Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates flooding the Las Vegas Sphere in Nevada. Following its official premiere, One Piece has now revealed high-quality official footage of the historic anime event via drones.
According to a press release, the high-quality drone footage of the One Piece animated special made for the Las Vegas Sphere event has now been officially released. The animation shows Luffy reaching out of the ship to look back at the residents of Las Vegas and ends with him smiling goofily like Gear 5 Luffy. The week-long event is part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the One Piece anime series, which premiered in Japan on October 20, 1999.

One Piece's brand new English YouTube channel is now live
The One Piece x Las Vegas Sphere event is just one of many ways the popular Shonen Jump franchise is expanding in North America. One Piece's official YouTube channel aimed at active English-speaking viewers with translated anime clips and more. Las Vega is also home to the first English One Piece themed cafe in the United States. The franchise will host another special event in late August for Major League Baseball's upcoming partnership with the Boston Red Sox.
One Piece author Eiichiro Oda draws his own version of Las Vegas Sphere Luffy
Eiichiro Oda, the creator and illustrator of One Piece, took it upon himself to comment on the ongoing event and even illustrated his own version of Luffy inside the Las Vegas Sphere. “This is the first time Japanese content is broadcast here and One Piece was chosen as the first content!” Oda said in a post translated by X users Pewpie and Inumaru08. “Everyone, please watch the video! Happy 25th anniversary of the One Piece anime!”

More One Piece announcements related to its 25th anniversary will be made at this year's One Piece Day convention. The two-day event will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan from August 10 to 11. Vtuber Mori Calliope, who performed “Future Island” for episode 106 of the release, will participate in the special concert One Piece Day special with Ado, the Japanese voice of Uta in One Piece Film: Red.
The One Piece anime television series, movies, and specials are available on streaming services including Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix. Netflix is currently producing Season 2 of the live-action One Piece series. The original manga is currently available through Viz Media and the Manga Plus app.
