Shino Shimoji, Shugo Nakamura, Kentarō Kumagai co-star in January 2025 show
Kodoani.com – Happinet has revealed three more voice actors and a key visual for the television anime adaptation of the romcom manga Okinawa de Suki Natta Ko ga Hōgen Sugite Tsurasugi (The Dialect of the Girl I Fell in Love With in Okinawa Is Too Difficult to Deal With) của tác giả Egumi Sora.
Three new actors were announced:
Shino Shimoji voiceover Yae AgenaHii-naa and Kaa-naa's friend in high school.
Shugo Nakamura voiceover Tensuke UemaTee-ruu's friend.
Kentarō Kumagai voiceover Isao ShimojiTee-ruu's friend.
The anime's main cast includes:
Takeo Ōtsuka voiceover Teruaki Nakamura (Tee-ruu).
Akari Kitō voiceover Hina Kyan (Hii-naa).
Fairouz Ai voiceover Kana Higa (Cars).
The company also announced a special project called “Also Kutuba AIUEO” (ABC Island Sign Language), in which Akari Kitō and Fairouz Ai will introduce 50 words from the Okinawan dialect on social network X (formerly Twitter).
Anime will premiere in May 1 year 2025 on channels TOKYO MX, BS11and three television channels in Okinawa including Okinawa TV, Ryukyu Broadcasting, and Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting.
The manga is about Teruaki Nakamuraa boy moves from Tokyo to Okinawa, where he meets a girl named Hina Kyan and quickly develops a crush on her. However, Hina's Okinawan dialect makes it difficult for Teruaki to communicate. Hina's friend, Kana Higaoften helping translate dialects and supporting him, but Teruaki is unaware that Kana also secretly likes him.
The manga series was launched on the website Kurage Bunch by Shinchosha in January 2020. The first volume was published in July 2020 and the eighth volume was released on February 8. The manga has currently sold 350,000 copies.
