What happened in Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode #6?
Tanjiro is mastering a new technique
Episode 6 of Hashira Training opens with Tanjiro and Zenitsu attending Stone Hashira's training, Inosuke was there and training when they arrived. They find Inosuke and the others forced to meditate under a frozen waterfall, a task that completely overwhelms Zenitsu and even Tanjiro struggles with. Next, they were tasked with lifting a bundle of heavy logs and finally asked to move a large rock more than 350 feet high. Tanjiro couldn't even get the rock to budge, but Genya came to thank Tanjiro for helping his brother last week.
Genya explains a technique called “Repetitive Movement” to Tanjiro, a distinct technique with different breathing patterns. Although it takes some time to master the technique, Tanjiro is eventually able to push the rock and use it, completing the Stone Hashira's difficult training, thus completing his training with each Hashira.
Demon Slayer: Hashira's Training Episode #7 Continue to follow Hashira's footsteps
Meet the strongest demon assassin
Episode 7 is titled “Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima,” suggesting that the episode will focus more on Stone Hashira himself now that Tanjiro has completed his training. Based on the manga, fans can expect to finally learn some information about Gyomei Himejima, with Hashira having the least amount of screen time to date. Himejima will reveal his tragic past to Tanjiro, explaining why he could not trust Tanjiro and Nezuko during their first meeting.
There can also be a bit of contention between different Hashira, as they try to push their own skills to the limit and unlock their Demon Slayer Marks. Giyu Tomioka fights Sanemi Shinazugawa in the manga, causing a bit of conflict when Tanjiro arrives at Tomioka's house and finds Wind Hashira there. The episode is said to last 30 minutes, which suggests that it may also contain a large amount of original anime content that cannot be predicted.
Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode #6 Focuses on training above all else
Episode 6 Himejima featured little but trained a lot
Perhaps the best thing about episode 6 of the Hashira Training Arc is seeing Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro reunite once again. The episode has some funny moments with the classic trio and in many ways feels like a season 1 episode starring all three. That camaraderie is welcome at this stage of the story, because once again, dark clouds are gathering on the horizon, and this peace cannot last much longer. Muzan's espionage has located a large number of Demon Slayers, and while Nezuko remains beyond his control, he may be almost ready to act.
It's a bit disappointing that Stone Hashira gets to do very little in this episode, as Tanjiro and the others mostly approach their training on their own without much guidance. Luckily, he looks like he'll get more of the spotlight in the next episode. Fans eager to learn about Hashira's strongest just need to wait a little longer, because Demon slayer: Hashira's training continues until the penultimate episode.
