Summary
My Hero Academia Chapter #426 reveals that Hawks survived the battle with All For One with minor injuries. Hawks becomes Chairman of the Hero Public Safety Committee. My Hero Academia's ending balances character arcs and consequences, providing a realistic ending.
My Hero Academia finally confirmed the survival of a fan-favorite hero that fans suspected would make it through the final battle. The latest chapters of My Hero Academia are neatly wrapping up any unresolved character arcs, including Hawks, the No. 2 Pro Hero, who, despite losing his powers to All For One, also got the best possible resolution to his story.
Chapter #426 of My Hero AcademiaConfirmed Hawks is still alive and healthy and managed to survive the brutal battle against All For One. In this chapter, Hawks is seen conversing with Lady Nagant, and except for a few minor scars, it seems that Hawks escaped the final battle without any other lasting injuries.
The latest chapter also revealed that Hawks has replaced Yoshimura Mera as Chairman of the Hero Public Safety Committee, perhaps giving him a chance to fight against the corruption in the system that he has long hated.
My Hero Academia Confirms Hawks Is Still Alive
Created by Kohei Horikoshi Chap #426, “The Hellish Todoroki Family: The Finale”
Hawks' injuries after his battle with All For One left many fans wondering if he was still alive or if he would have survived even with immediate medical attention. Not only did All For One take away his powers, but he also beat him up pretty badly. To add insult to injury, Hawks later encountered a disguised Himiko Toga, who slashed him even more.
Furthermore, Hawks was last seen in chapter #416, where he appeared conscious but severely injured, lying on the battlefield alongside Tsukuyomi. The fact that Hawks appeared as a complete relic in the relic world further raises doubts about his survival. Although he was seemingly rescued alongside Tsukuyomi in chapter #422, it is difficult to be certain whether Hawks survived or not, and the latest chapter marks his first appearance since then, confirming that he survived.
Surprisingly, aside from being rendered powerless, Hawks did not suffer any debilitating, lasting injuries from the battle, unlike Bakugo, Deku, and many others. Chapter #426 revealed that Hawks had come away unharmed except for a new scar on his forehead to accompany the old scar running down his jaw and neck.

Overall, it seems like My Hero Academia managed to strike the perfect balance with its ending, with some heroes like Hawks managing to escape the final battle and move on with their lives, while others, like Endeavor, will forever be a reminder of the long, bloody battle against All For One and Shigaraki. While the ending isn't without death or consequences, there are also those who remain unscathed. There are some like Shoto who forgive and forget, as well as others like Natsuo and Lady Nagant who continue to hold grudges, which only makes My Hero Academia's ending feel more realistic.
