Kodoani.com – Kadokawa has just streamed uncredited theme song videos for the anime adaptation of the light novel Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san) by author Sunsunsun and artist Momoco. These videos offer a first look at the anime's music, along with vocals from Sumire Uesaka, who plays the female lead Alya.
Music:
Opening song: “Ichiban Kagayaku Hoshi” (“The Brightest Star”) performed by Sumire Uesaka.
Ending song: Uesaka will perform a cover of a different popular song for each episode, starting with “Gakuen Tengoku” (“School Paradise”).
Release Date:
Anime Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian will premiere on Wednesday, airing on 24 channels across Japan.

Plot:
The story about Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou Also known as “Alya”, she is known as the “lonely princess” of Seiren Private Academy. Alya is a striking half-Russian girl with silver hair, is the top student in her class and holds the position of accountant in the student council. Despite her cold and unapproachable appearance, Alya often has to put up with the lazy boy sitting next to her – Masachika Kuzewho often overslept, forgot his textbooks and was not the ideal student.
Although Alya seems tough and mean to Masachika, she doesn't hate him as much as others think. In fact, she even allows him to call her by the affectionate nickname “Alya”. Interestingly, Alya often mumbles comments in Russian, her true thoughts that she believes no one understands. However, Masachika secretly understands Russian and hears Alya's true words, but pretends not to know anything to avoid embarrassment.
