Kamome Shirahama's famous fantasy series Witch Hat Factory is being adapted into an anime and has finally received official release window, a brand new trailer and a new key visual. First announced in 2022, news of the Witch Hat Atelier anime adaptation was met with great enthusiasm and after two years of waiting, fans finally have the release date they've been waiting for.
According to the announcement on X, Anime adaptation of Witch Hat Atelier is scheduled to premiere in 2025 and will be produced by BUG FILMS, who are also known for their work on Zom 100. The announcement comes alongside a new trailer and new key visual, both of which were first revealed at the series' panel at Anime Expo 2024.
The announcement post also revealed that the anime will be directed by Ayumu Watanabe, who is best known for directing series like Komi Can't Communicate, Space Brothers, and films like Children of the Sea. Kairi Unabara is in charge of character designs, while the music for the series will be provided by Yuka Kitamura, who most notably composed the music for the Elden Ring and Dark Souls II and III games.
