Kodoani.com – Official X/Twitter account for the anime television series based on the light novel “Unnamed Memory” by Kuji Furumiya announced on Wednesday that the anime will get a second season in January 2025. Kadokawa released a teaser to announce the news.
The 12th and final episode of the first season aired this past Tuesday. The anime premiered on April 9 and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
Yen Press is publishing both the light novel series and the manga adaptation of “Unnamed Memory” in English. The plot is summarized as follows:
Witches — centuries-old magicians with great power enough to cause disasters. Oscar, crown prince of the powerful kingdom of Farsas, was cursed as a child that he would never have an heir. Hoping to break the curse, the prince turns to Tinasha, the most powerful witch on the continent. To meet her, he must climb the tower, because it is rumored that she will grant wishes to anyone who succeeds. However, when he reached the top, the guy asked Tinasha to become his bride!
Kuji Furumiya, author of “A Pale Moon Reverie” and “Babel”, began publishing “Unnamed Memory” on the website “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” in September 2012. Kadokawa began publishing the novels in print with chibi illustration in january 2019.

Naoki Koshimizu launched the manga adaptation of this light novel in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in September 2020.
