The first story in the “Clockwork Girl” series will premiere in early summer 2025.
Kodoani.com – Aniplex just revealed an anime called Virgin Punkdirected by Yasuomi Umetsu and animation studio SHAFT production, during the live stream Aniplex Online Fest. This work will be released in early summer 2024 in two cinemas in Tokyo and Osaka. The first story, titled “Clockwork Girl”revolves around the female lead Nowdepicting the suffering she faces along with the desires and chaos from the powerful figures around her.
The promotional image shows the quote: “Struck down by successive misfortunes, she is but a shadow of herself.” The film's creative team includes well-known names in the anime industry:
Yasuomi Umetsu not only directed the anime but also designed the characters.
Yūya Takahashi in charge of composition and scriptwriting. The main animators include Gen'ichirou Abe, Shinya Takahashiand Maho Kando.
