The Bocchi Kick! Re and Re:Re: The films, scheduled for release in Spring and Summer 2024 respectively, were announced on May 21, 2023 and will recap events in the anime. Yoshino Aoyama, who voices Bocchi, said at the anime’s first anniversary, “Woooow this is the 1 year anniversary of broadcasting! I am very excited! Every day I feel that Hitori Goto’s existence is truly irreplaceable to me. Because there is also a comprehensive play [coming up]I hope it continues to receive lots of love!!!!“ While the compilation films do not have an exact release date, the second volume of Aki Hamaji’s manga will be released in the United States on January 23, 2024, according to licensor Yen Press. Bocchi Kick! was published in Houbunsha’s Kirara Max Comics magazine since December 2017 and has been collected into 6 volumes as of November 6, 2023. Bocchi Kick! also announced today theater screening for anime, where fans can cheer. Hopefully fans will be better behaved than they were earlier this year after the anime’s official website released a statement, urging fans to respect the environment featured in the anime.

Hitori Gotoh, “Bocchi-chan,” is an introverted girl who is so shy around people that she always begins her conversations with “Ah…” During her middle school years, she started plays the guitar, wants to join a band because she thinks it could be an opportunity for even a shy person like her to shine. But because she had no friends, she ended up practicing the guitar six hours a day on her own. After becoming a skilled guitar player, she uploaded videos of herself playing the guitar to the internet under the name “Guitar Hero” and dreamed of performing at her school’s cultural festival concert. But not only did she not find any bandmates, but before she knew it, she was in high school and still hadn’t been able to make a single friend! She really almost became a closed person, but one day, Nijika Ijichi, the drummer in the Kessoku Band, came to her. And so, her daily life begins to change little by little…
