Warning: Contains spoilers for Chainsaw Man chap #177
Part Two of Chainsaw Man has fulfilled many of the promises of Part One, and now it seems like the promise of Power's return is more likely than ever. Denji becomes a student, raises Nayuta as his little sister, and gets to live a normal life with her before everything goes completely haywire, as Chainsaw Man seems to love to do. Now, as the latest chapter #177, titled “Trigger Finger,” showcases the devastating power of the War Devil, it seems like the most anticipated promise of Part One may soon be fulfilled.
In Pochita's final full-body armor appearance in the series, while fighting Makima, the Chainsaw Devil abandoned the fight, deciding that saving Denji was more important than taking down the Control Devil. However, he needed help to do so, and It wasn't until Power convinced Denji to live, sacrificing what little blood he had left to revive him, that Chainsaw Man's protagonist returned.. Now, after suffering significant injuries in his fight with Yoru, Pochita can once again call upon Power's help.
Chainsaw man donates blood
After suffering the injury, Pochita kindly asked to donate blood.
Wounded, with an arm blown clean off by the War Devil's new gun ability, Pochita fled the fight and found a nearby pool of blood. While it could be inferred that the Chainsaw Man was kindly asking for blood to regain his strength before returning to battle, He has been shown to be able to regenerate without feeding on blood in the past.. It was the attack Yoru used that allowed him to regenerate from his heart during the battle with Makima, making the need for blood absurd.
Instead of, Chainsaw Man may be trying to find Power againas he did in Part One. The last remaining unresolved plot thread from the Public Safety arc is Denji's promise to find the new Blood Demon and turn her back into Power. It's entirely possible that Pochita remembered Power when she was hit with the “Bang” attack that killed the Blood Demon earlier. While it's uncertain how useful she would be in the current battle, she has fought a Horseman demon in the past and Pochita may be looking for a powerful ally after Yoru calls for help from Tank and Gun Devils.
The New Blood Demon Will No Longer Be So Powerful
While it seems like there's no better time for Power to make a grand return than in Chainsaw Man, it's unlikely Pochita would need her now. If Pochita is truly trying her best to save Denji, then the chances of his plan succeeding are slim. Power has made it clear that she won't just become another Blood Devil when she returns, but it is also possible that the latest version will be Denji's enemy. And if she remains as stubborn as before, convincing the New Blood Devil to assist in any way could be a major problem.
It's possible that Denji will voluntarily want to return when he sees the new Blood Devil, remembering his promise and love for his original little sister. Regardless, whatever Pochita's plans are, he may want to act quickly, as Yoru seems to be currently mounting a new, powerful attack funded by the United States. Even if Power makes her grand return in time Chainsaw Man In the end, Denji was not out of danger.
