Dragon Ball Daima fans were excited about the cameo in Sparking! No, with some options proving more popular than others.
Dragon Ball Daima fans have been looking forward to seeing their favorite characters appear after the new Dragon Ball: Sparking trailer! Zero.
Namco Bandai officially revealed that Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will be known worldwide as Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero at The Game Awards 2023, releasing a trailer that excited both game and anime fans. This entry represents the latest installment in the iconic Budokai Tenkaichi series, following Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after a 16-year wait. The absence of any Daima characters from the trailer disappointed many, but that hasn’t stopped people from speculating on social media about which characters will definitely appear at some point.

As seen above, fans are betting heavily on Goku and Vegeta (Daima versions) making an appearance at some point – a conclusion that has a lot of logic behind it. The Budokai Tenkaichi series continues to be known for its large cast of characters, with GT characters appearing in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 even though this is an unofficial anime. Namco Bandai’s official website mentions a “number of historical characters,” with a cameo by Android 17 (“Tournament of Power”) confirming that recent anime designs will appear. Furthermore, Daima is a project commemorating the franchise’s 40th anniversary, with Akira Toriyama responsible for the story and character designs. At a minimum, characters from Daima could be released as DLC, with Sparking! Zero and Daima’s revealed releases will likely coincide.
Other tidbits of information gathered include the transformable battlefields in the trailer and a GameStop listing confirming local and online multiplayer, along with an expected price of $69.99. Dragon Ball: Shine! Zero is developed by Spike Chunsoft, with no official release date announced yet.
