Kodoani.com – In the 43rd issue of Kodansha’s “Young” magazine, published on Monday, was released “Volume 0” of a new manga titled “Rebellion,” created by Tsukasa Monma and illustrated by Tadataka Hosokawa. Monma is the author of the main story, while Hosokawa is in charge of drawing the manga. The series will officially begin publication in March 2024.
“Volume 0” of the “Rebellion” manga depicts a historical battle during the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905), where Commander Nogi Maresuke led the attack on Port Arthur. The manga will tell the “mysterious” story of how Commander Nogi and his army achieved a decisive victory in the battle to reclaim Port Arthur from the Russians.
Tsukasa Monma and artist Shikako launched the manga “Manshū Ahen Squad” on Kodansha’s “Comic Days” manga website in 2020. “Young” magazine began serializing the manga in 2021. 14th volume of the manga was published by Kodansha on September 6. Kodansha’s “K MANGA” service also published an English version of the manga. The manga was nominated in the “Outstanding General Manga” category at this year’s 47th Kodansha Annual Manga Awards.
Tadataka Hosokawa launched the “Tsuwamonogatari” manga in “Young” magazine in November 2021. Kodansha published the manga’s eighth and final volume on September 20.
