Kodoani.com — The May issue of Square Enix’s Big Gangan magazine revealed on Tuesday that the manga Kensen Hyōkyoku by Makoto Fukami and Shinjirō will end in the magazine’s next issue on May 25.
The manga is set in a continent ruled by the violence of swords and fists, and ruled by the hegemony of the Jian kingdom. The third prince of Sekka kingdom lives with his two older brothers (he doesn’t get along with them), the noble hostage Suiran from the vassal state Ren, and his childhood friend Shiraha. He receives daily training from his swordsman Karen. One day, the kingdom of Jian suffers a terrible attack from an opposing force, which also entails the arrival of Karan Hyōkyoku, the courier service of the sword master Kokuyō. Now tasked with protecting Sekka, the prince of a fallen nation, they vow to protect him until he reaches a safe place.
Fukami and Shinjirō launched the manga in Big Gangan in December 2021. Square Enix published the manga’s second compiled book volume in November 2022.
