There's a lot of good news for My Hero Academia fans this year. Not only will they be able to watch My Hero Academia Vigilantes during the Summer 2025 Anime Season, but the final arc of the main anime will premiere later this year.
The anime series is based on the franchise's spin-off manga, set several years before the original story and centers around an unlicensed hero, Koichi Haimawari.
First announced during Jump Festa 2025 (taking place in December 2024, despite the event name)
Now, the release date for MHA: Vigilante has been announced, along with a new trailer for the anime!
MHA: When will Vigilantes launch?
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is scheduled to launch on April 7, 2025 in Japan.
While it's not yet confirmed where in the world it will stream, Crunchyroll seems like a safe bet considering they stream the main anime.
Kenichi Suzuki, who worked on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Cells at Work!!, is the show's director. This is his first time working on the My Hero Academia series. Yosuke Kuroda, head writer of the main series, is also writing the script for the spin-off.
We also learned the voice actors for the main characters. Shuichiro Umeda (Zom 100) has been cast as Koichi Haimawari, Ikumi Hasegawa (Mayonaka Punch) will voice Pop Step, and Yasuhiro Mamiya (Terminator Zero) will voice Knuckleduster.
It's not yet confirmed how many episodes there will be in the series, but considering that the final season of the original story is scheduled for fall 2025, it's likely that Vigilantes will last for two sessions, from April to October, after which replaced by Final Season of My Hero Academia.
