The latest episode finally brings to a close the climactic confrontation between King Cobra and Imu and the Gorosei, with the anime finally addressing a highly controversial topic regarding the scene.
One Piece episode #1119 finally revealed Imu's true form, confirming that The large figure that appeared at the top of the stairs leading to the throne in chapter #1085 was actually Imu.. As seen in the manga, the monstrous figure now confirmed to be Imu has large hands, an arrow-tipped tail, and a large mouth with sharp teeth.
While the manga left fans uncertain about whether the silhouette's owner was Imu or one of the Five Elders until the latter half of the Egghead Arc, the latest episode of the anime made it quite clear.knowing that Imu was actually the one who transformed into the sixth shadow seen in the throne room. However, it is difficult to say for sure what Imu's true appearance will be, with Imu's unique voice in recent episodes of One Piece creating more questions than answers about his true identity.
One Piece Finally Clears Up The Confusion About Imu's Transformation
Chap #1085 Initially Divided Fans
While this may not be the first time the One Piece anime has clarified something better than the manga, this particular instance has sparked quite a heated debate among fans. It was only recently resolved by the manga when the Five Elders finally arrived at Egghead. and reveal his true form.
The main reason the silhouettes caused so much confusion when chapter #1085 was first released was because the silhouettes mostly blended together. While the anime differentiated them by giving each silhouette a red glow on the outside, it was difficult to differentiate the six different silhouettes in the manga. Panel Sabo standing above King Cobra is quite misleading.as it appeared that there were only four figures surrounding Sabo, with the figure at the top of the throne room being the fifth figure.
Episode #1119 avoided any such confusion, confirming that Imu also possesses a transformation ability that can be as terrifying as the Gorosei.
The silhouette of Saint Ju Peter as a worm and the transformation of Imu are quite similar, making it difficult to distinguish these two images from each other. Therefore, many people also assumes that the figure at the top belongs to one of the Five Elders and not Imu.Although it's hard to believe that one of them could move across a room in an instant. Fortunately, episode #1119 avoided any such confusion, confirming that Imu also possesses a transformation that could be as terrifying as the Five Elders.
What could Imu's true form be?
Episode #1119 Hint Imu might actually be an Umibozu
While there are countless theories about Imu's true identity in One Piece, one of the most popular is that Imu may be an umibozu, a sea demon from Japanese folklore, and Imu's silhouette in episode #1119 seems to support this theory. Not only does Imu's silhouette bear a striking resemblance to an umibozu, but it also makes perfect sense that Imu's true form is modeled after a yokai like the Gorosei.
That being said, Eiichiro Oda is clearly holding back the reveal of Imu's true appearance for a grand reveal and until then, no one can guess what Imu's true form might be. One pieceThe latest episodes have done a great job of building on Imu's terrifying image in the Final Saga, establishing the character perfectly as the mysterious yet terrifying final villain of the series.
