What happened in Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode #1?
Part 2, Episode #1 of Oshi no Ko opens with an introduction to Tokyo Blade, the popular fantasy action manga set in the Oshi no Ko universe that is being adapted into a stage play that Aqua, Kana, and Akane will star in. Aqua plays Touki while Akane plays the challenging role of Sayahime, both of whom are the play's antagonists.
On the other hand, Kana was given the role of the energetic and lively Tsurugi, a sidekick to the main character Blade, played by Taiki Himekawa, a talented stage actor. Despite his sloppy appearance, Taiki amazed everyone at rehearsals with his mysterious acting and stage presence. Himekawa was seen immersing himself in his character and his passion literally and figuratively hit everyone watching him, inspiring them to do their best as well.
Meanwhile, Akane expresses her concerns about Sayahime's character being too changed and simplified from the manga and struggles to get into character or feel a proper connection to the role. Akane longs to compete with Kana on stage, while Aqua, despite being present at rehearsals, is busy with her goal of getting closer to Touhiro Kindaichi, a founding member of Lala Lai, in hopes of learning more about Ai from him.
