Crunchyroll has just released an exciting trailer for a new game inspired by the anime OVERLORD called Lord of Nazarick, scheduled for a worldwide release this fall, and introduces a new 'Crunchyroll Login' feature.
Crunchyroll and game developer A PLUS JAPAN have announced the global release of Lord of Nazarick, a turn-based RPG inspired by the popular anime series OVERLORD, via a press release. The game will be available on mobile devices via Google Play and the App Store, with confirmed territories including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, and most other European countries, as well as the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America. Readers can check out a first look at the game, which is now open for pre-registration, along with more information below.

Lord of Nazarick will be released alongside OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom, which is being theatrically released in the United States and Canada, starting on November 8, with Crunchyroll acquiring the rights to the film in North America, Latin America, and EMEA. Lord of Nazarick will also mark the launch of Crunchyroll Login, a new feature that gives Crunchyroll Premium members access to exclusive in-game rewards, such as in-game currency, battle passes, and exclusive access to activities across Crunchyroll's e-commerce and theater experiences.
Similar to the OVERLORD anime series, Lord of Nazarick is teased, “After twelve years of playing his beloved MMORPG, Momonga logs in one last time only to find himself transported into its world and playing it indefinitely. Throughout his adventures, his avatar ascends to the title of Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown.” The game will allow players to relive the main story from “a new perspective, along with all-new official scenarios as you command every battle.” There will be over 50 playable characters, party building features across five unique classes and three attributes, and locations from the anime including the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Carne Village, and E-Rantel. Game modes include cooperative combat and PVP.
OVERLORD joins a number of anime titles to receive recent game releases. Another RPG-inspired anime, Solo Leveling, made big waves with the successful release of Solo Leveling: ARISE earlier this year. TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy- and BLUE LOCK have also received global game releases ahead of the anime's announced sequels. All three titles are streaming on Crunchyroll, with Blue Lock Season 2, officially titled BLUE LOCK VS. U-20 JAPAN, returning the fastest on October 15, 2024.
