Kodoani.com – Website for the anime adaptation of the mobile game Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku – Promise of Wizard released a second promotional video and key visual on Thursday. The anime is slated to premiere in January 2025.
Naoyuki Tatsuwa (known for Gourmet Girl Graffiti) will take on the directorial role for the series at LID FILMS. Nanami Higuchi (BEASTARS screenwriter) will write the script. Nozomi Nagatomo (who worked on A3! Season Autumn & Winter) is in charge of character design. The anime's music will be composed by Shuji Katayama (Overlord) and made in Pony Canyon. Akira Hashigami (Gods' Games We Play) is the color designer, Minami Kasuga (Dragon Ball Super: Broly) is in charge of the background art, and Koji Yamakoshi (Pokémon Movie) is the director of photography. Mai Hasegawa (Ensemble Stars!) will be the editor, while Ryo Tanaka (Eternal Boys) sound director at Tohokushinsha.
Game Mahō Tsukai no Yakusoku Set in a world where mages and mortals coexist, players take on the role of a “sage” tasked with developing mages to combat a “great disaster” that occurs every year in the world and form deep bonds with them.
This game is developed by the company coly, Inc. and launched in November 2019 as a free-to-play (with in-app purchases). Bunta Tsushimi (IDOLiSH7) is the scriptwriter, while Dangmill (illustrator for the Cross-Dressing Villainess light novel Cecilia Sylvie) did the original character designs.
The game also inspired a manga adaptation of Shibatarō Nakamurawas released in June.
